Apple has announced that it will replace the batteries for iPhone 6s owners affected by unexpected shutdowns.
We’re talking about the devices made between September and October 2015. This comes just a few days after Apple has announced an against payment screen replacement program for iPhone 6s.
To benefit of this free battery replacement program iPhone 6s owners should go to their nearest Apple Store to have their device checked if it has any issues regarding the battery and if is part of the targeted batch.
Apple requests owners to backup their data, turn off “Find my iPhone” service and erase all the data and settings before handing it over for the replacement. Also, if the device has any other damages, owners are required to fix them before.
The program is applicable globally, and owners who already fixed this issue can request a refund.
